A smart-home install works best when the consultation, site assessment, design, installation, commissioning, and handover are treated as separate steps.
Stage 1: Initial consultation
The first consultation is free and usually takes about 30 minutes by phone or video. We talk through your home, your habits, what you want to control, and what is worth doing first.
Stage 2: Site assessment when required
Some projects need an in-person site assessment before the final design. We check switch boxes, neutral availability, network coverage, door hardware, intercom constraints, panel locations, NBN location, AC controllers, and existing systems.
Stage 3: Design and quotation
You receive a written scope with devices, room-by-room notes, cabling or network requirements, scene ideas, and a quotation. Larger or full-home projects may need a paid design stage, which we confirm before starting that work.
Stage 4: Installation and commissioning
Installation covers cabling where required, panel and device setup, network bring-up, integrations, testing, and scene configuration. Electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician where required.
Stage 5: Handover and support
We walk the household through the controls, apps, scenes, and everyday behaviours so the system is actually usable. Ongoing support can cover tuning, expansion, updates, and troubleshooting.
What you need to decide
- Which platform makes sense for the home.
- Which rooms and routines matter most.
- Who needs access to the app or panels.
- Whether the project should start small or be planned as a whole-home system.
