How to use Zigbee with Home Assistant
Home Assistant supports Zigbee through integrations such as ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT. You still need a suitable Zigbee coordinator or compatible hub to run the Zigbee network.
Should you buy Zigbee in 2026?
For sensors, switches, and retrofit devices, Zigbee can still be an excellent choice. For new ecosystems, Matter-over-Thread may also be worth considering where the device category and ecosystem support are mature.
